Leadership has always been an intrinsic feature in Reybanpac. Since its establishment, the company stood out for opening new markets for Ecuadorian bananas, and 42 years later, it is the largest producer of high quality bananas in Ecuador thanks to its constant innovation and adaptability to new trends.
The key to Reybanpac's success lies in its human talent, "people committed to excellence, of great professional ethics and who work every day to produce the best fruit for consumers," says Kevyn Duque, Human Resources Manager. "For us it is important to contribute to the continuous growth of our team and expand its potential, which is why we develop training programs along with allies in Academia with a view to continuing to be benchmarks in the business and projecting ourselves towards the future."
With the objective of strengthening the leadership qualities within the organizational culture, 92 workers in Middle Management and Headquarters participated in 2019 of a program developed by the IDE Business School, where they master the tools to effectively lead high performance teams. Strengthening skills such as communication, the ability to guide processes of change and motivate staff oriented results, are part of this programs curriculum.
A module called "Family and business" was also included in the course. “Family is the most important thing in people's lives, beyond the achievements we reach throughout our professional career, the fundamental factor will always be to take care of the most valuable thing we have, and that is a message we want to instil in our collaborators. Professional success is not contrary to leading a full family life. ”, Vicente Wong, Executive President of Reybanpac.
This course, together with the one carried out in 2018 that was aimed at 25 executives, including Vice Presidents and Business Unit Managers, are part of the development plan promoted by Reybanpac to achieve continuous improvement in all its activities.
